Corporate M&A Role - Financial Services

M&A (experience bracket - 10-12 years)

Responsibilities:

- Business Development, Mergers and Acquisitions team members work closely with the BD head, board Directors, CEO and business leaders to establish opportunities for expansion through investments.

- As a key member of our M & A team, the candidate would be expected to be at the forefront of a number of merger and acquisition transactions, originate opportunities, evaluate their attractiveness, structure new business transactions, work closely with our business leaders and financial and legal teams to execute deals for closure.

- This role would provide extensive exposure to Executive and Senior Leadership throughout our organization and also to senior management of companies targeted for acquisition.

- The candidate is expected to promote the investment capabilities of the firm and range of activities to existing and potential partners, and also play a role in representing our business to industry players.

Areas of opportunity :

- Sourcing new assets that will increase our asset book, product portfolio, market access and presence

- Assessing transaction opportunities and establishing transaction strategy

- Frequently interacting with executive and business senior leadership, transaction advisors and acquisition targets

- Defining and negotiating transaction terms

- Leading and conducting due diligence on potential acquisition targets

- Oversight and preparation of financial, qualitative and valuation analyses

- Execution of the Group's business plan in terms of origination, structuring and negotiation of transactions.

- Building relationships with partners and customers and working with them to create new business opportunities.

- Internal evaluation of investment opportunities to determine the benefits they will bring to the organization.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience in doing similar work in the Indian BFSI space (with specific focus on consumer, SME, Auto/equipment leasing, housing and corporate lending). Ideal candidate would be someone with 10-12 years of M&A experience, well-networked, action-biased individual who is a team-player.
