Corporate Development Role - M&A/Fund Raising/Investor Relations - EduTech (6-9 yrs)

A leading edtech company, which has raised multiple rounds of funding from Indian and global investors is embarking on a significant expansion drive. As part of this, the company is looking to grow its strategic corporate development arm to manage both acquisitions as well as fund raising activities by hiring an experienced professional to enhance the team.

Responsibilities :

- Supporting growth strategy and execution through effective execution of potential m&a opportunities, strategic investments and joint ventures

- Helping to drive fundraising and investor relation activities

- Working closely with the CXOs and strategy team as part of the opportunity identification process as well as through strategic investment/divestment processes to ensure commercial objective are being met while ensuring best in class execution

- Managing the company's relationships and coordinating with various service providers such as investment banks and external subject matter (tax, legal, accounting etc) experts as required.

- Supporting the investor relations effort

- Managing and training junior staff in the corporate development team

Qualifications :

- 6-9 years of relevant experience in M&A banking, private equity, venture capital or corporate development. TMT/SAAS or education sector banking/investing/transaction experience will be an advantage

- Experience in managing transactions and leading transactional teams - Contributor-manager role, hence a high degree of relevant technical skills

- Strong communication skills - oral and written (including presentation skills)

- Strong team management skills

- Experience in managing international stakeholders will be a plus
