Corporate Development Role - FinTech

A leading fintech company, which has achieved unicorn status, is embaring on a significant expansion drive and expects to go public in the near future. As part of this, the company is looking to grow its strategic corporate development arm to manage both fund raising activities as well as acquisitions by hiring an experienced professional to enhance the team.

Responsibilities :

- Helping to drive fundraising and investor relation activities

- Supporting growth strategy and execution through effective execution of potential m&a opportunities, strategic investments and joint ventures

- Working closely with the CXOs and strategy team as part of the opportunity identification process as well as through strategic investment/divestment processes to ensure commercial objective are being met while ensuring best in class execution

- Managing the company's relationships and coordinating with various service providers such as investment banks and external subject matter (tax, legal, accounting etc) experts as required.

- Supporting the investor relations effort

- Managing and training junior staff in the corporate development team

Qualifications :

- 6-9 years of relevant experience in M&A banking, private equity, venture capital or corporate development. Fintech or FIG (Financial Institutions) banking/investing/transaction experience will be an advantage

- Experience in managing transactions and leading transactional teams - Contributor-manager role, hence a high degree of relevant technical skills

- Strong communication skills - oral and written (including presentation skills)

- Strong team management skills

- Experience in managing international stakeholders will be a plus
