Corporate Development Role - B2B Startup (2-11 yrs)

1) Capital raising - equity and debt. You will also be responsible for preparing the company for its fundraising efforts and future IPO as one of the largest B2B start-ups in South and Southeast Asia. In addition, you will also manage Investor Relations activities with current and future investors.

2) M&A in domestic and international markets. You will be responsible for all aspects of M&A, including but not limited to strategy development, target identification, deal sourcing, deal execution, and acquisition integration (PMI).

3) Financial planning and analysis review (core finance team sits in Dhaka). You will also be reviewing and providing inputs on monthly budgeting, forecasting and planning exercise led by the finance team in Dhaka.

4) Strategy with respect to newer business / regions.

5) Investing in other startups in the country. You will work closely with the CFO and other senior leaders to facilitate strategic decisions focused on key investments, operational improvements, new business opportunities and strategic transactions.

This role will require you to work cross-functionally across strategic business units including product, business development, sales, and marketing, to lead all Corporate Development activities across the organisation. This is a unique role that requires a high level of influence and experience and acts as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead in preparation of pitching materials, management presentation, board materials, information memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in Company's strategic development.

- Build, operate and maintain financial models and undertake valuation related work based on standard methods (comparable company analysis, comparable transactions analysis, DCF etc.)

- Analysing and investing in new strategic initiatives (mergers, acquisitions and strategic investments)

- Understanding key drivers of revenues and expenses; identifying the most important key performance indicators (KPI) to measure and evaluate company performance.

- Support team on preparation of transaction documents for each capital raising round - shareholder agreement, share purchase agreements, offering documents

- Coordinate and work internally with the various business units to collect data required for investor queries

- Manage the team of corporate development managers

- Develop an operational and financial strategy together with the CEO and executive team to assess and drive the company's financial and operational performance; be a key voice in regards to capital allocation strategy

- Actively engage with the executive team to identify new opportunities and to seek alignment on strategic priorities

- Scanning and analysing the business environment to identify potential acquisition targets for the company that will build sustainable competitive advantages

Key Requirements:

- Demonstrated success in executing a wide range of transactions (e.g., M&A, joint ventures, corporate finance)

- Track record of capital raising and management (equity, regulatory capital, debt, carriers, alternative structures)

- Ideally experience in investment banking, corporate development, venture capital, private equity

- Ideally has worked in a Founder led business or has an understanding of the dynamics associated with this type of environment and is able provide trusted counsel while driving scale

- Proven experience in driving fundraising activities within a fast growing business

- Solutions oriented mindset, with the resilience and persistence needed to continue finding the best capital models and partners required in order for the business to scale

- Strong analytical skills and experience to make data-driven decisions and steering profitable companies or companies on a further strong growth path

- Ultimate collaborator with proven problem-solving skills and an ability to work cross functionally at all levels

- Resourceful outlook, humble, open-minded, eternally hands-on, team-orientated, down to earth and fun to work with each day

- Pedigree education with a successful finance career and qualification preferred
