Corporate Development Attorney

Looking for a specialized attorney to serve as an in-house counsel and handle all complex legal matters and projects. You will be a part of one of the global diversified technology and industrial leader. You will ensure the legality of commercial transactions and advise our company on legal rights and duties.

The position is located in New Delhi.

What are my responsibilities-

- Manage a variety of general corporate and commercial/transactional matters including reviewing and drafting of commercial agreements, reviewing and responding to tenders.

- Works hand-in-hand with the Corporate Development Organization Vice President and other business leaders to ensure a coordinated corporate development function, leveraging capabilities within the region and within the policies, parameters and strategies set by the General Counsel of Corporate Development

- Demonstrates experience in general corporate matters, preferably in technology industries.

- Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks

- Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations

- Provides significant cross-functional collaboration with operational and functional leaders, line of business lawyers, compliance, tax, finance, treasury, risk management, labor and employment, real estate, benefits, IP, IT, litigation, EHS, corporate & securities, IR, Communications

- Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)

- Draft and administer all contracts

- Negotiate deals and attend company meetings

What do I need to qualify for this job-

- Law graduate (LL.B) from a reputed university with good academic credentials

- Proven comparable 10-15 years of law firm experience

- Proven background on corporate law (contract law, tax law, accounting, securities law, bankruptcy, intellectual property rights, licensing, zoning laws)

- Ability to identify and escalate issues timely and appropriately

- Excellent negotiation and communications skills

- Administrative and managerial skills

- Analytical ability and strong attention to detail

- Computer skills
