Job Brief

Perform in-house legal work for a growing, multi-national group of companies that has offices in Gurgaon and Bangalore. The primary responsibility is for contract reviews. Other responsibilities include updating, implementation and training on certain policies and maintenance of corporate records and minutes. Training on company-specific contracting requirements and policies will be provided. The position can be based at Gurgaon or Bangalore. Working times are flexible, but this position reports into the General Counsel of the U.S. parent company, so some availability during U.S. working hours is needed.

Candidate Profile :

Education and experience :

- Bachelors or Masters in Law from a reputed college

- 3 -8 years- experience in contract administration

- Experience in contract reviews and in defining and drafting varied corporate-level policies

- Prior experience working in a global set-up with an appreciation for contracting at international level will be an added advantage

- Prior experience in representing the organisation to customers and incidences of successful negotiation of contract terms to safeguard company's interest will be appreciated

Skills :

- Good analytical skills and good judgment

- Ability to prioritize work and successfully manage deadlines

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure

- Self-motivated; must be able to work independently

- Ability to interact and effectively work with others in a team environment

- Intellectual curiosity; open to learning and show receptiveness towards feedback

- Must have the flexibility to participate in some online meetings during U.S. working hours

- Good attention to detail

- Ability to follow and extrapolate on written guidelines

- Willingness to ask questions as needed

Job Responsibilities :

- Responsibility for reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements and client services agreements

- Responsibility for updates, implementation and training for certain policies

- Drafting and maintaining company minutes and records

- Collaboration with US legal team on a variety of legal issues, which may include human resources issues and office safety issues

- Representing company to the customers and negotiating contract terms with the client legal team

- Internal stakeholder management as the role holder will be working closely with the sales team and partners
