General Responsibilities

- You will be a hands-on member of an energetic team working to create and transfer useful life skills in varied impactful product formats that will be distributed to young children across the world. Think transforming the decision-making skills of a whole generation!

- You will be expected to wear any hat needed (engaging in various roles and duties which may be outside of standard duties) to achieve your team's and sometimes other teams' upcoming KRAs and product goals. For example, as the quality-in-charge, you will ensure quality experiences for customers through great quality content, communication, and even very user-friendly technology.

- Actively learning on the job and diving into new areas where you may have little expertise in.

- Learning from mistakes and failed projects (you'll be expected to make them fast)

- Amplify the efforts of our executive team (Founder, CEO, COO) and help implement our vision and mission of the company.

- Role-specific responsibilities are dependent on the team you are matched with and can be discussed further during in-person interviews. Skillizen is a fast-growing startup, so our position/titles don't equate to traditional job responsibilities!

Need-to-have :

- You're a great writer. Maybe you've got a great blog. Maybe you write stories or plays, or perform in sketches. Whatever you do, you're obsessed with quality in everything and are highly intolerant to the smallest of the gaps.

- Strong copy-editing abilities; excellent written communication skills for all types of needs be it curriculum, training or marketing communication.

- Deeply passionate about education, product, marketing, and all things copy

- Growth mindset, hungry to learn and not afraid of failure

- Comfortable being pushed outside of your comfort zone in a true startup (sometimes 'chaotic') environment; possibly pivoting to new outcomes and responsibilities in different functional areas based on changes in the startup's priorities - it's a roller coaster of a journey!)

- Personable: highly empathetic, comfortable interfacing with internal and external-users on sensitive topics.

- Relentless learner: you want to maximize your experience with us and learn as much as you can.

Nice-to-haves

- Relevant functional or organizational leadership experience.

- Very creative with words and multilingual skills. Copywriting ninja who can make killer presentations.
