Content Acquisition - Licensing Specialist

Job Description:

Purpose of the role is:

The main purpose of the role is to ensure management of existing and new content partners- relationship and the best possible agreements for digital content in Region. Handle the complete region and own business target (Topline and profitability). The candidate should have atleast 5+ years- Experience in Digital content license and understanding of agreement closure of Music and VOD streaming content agreements. S/he will report to the head of Content Acquisition, providing critical support in content licensing and negotiation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in licensing and deep familiarity with the entertainment industry. In addition, the candidate will require strong critical thinking skills that allow for intense attention to detail as well as the ability to see the big picture. S/he should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative, managing multiple projects, and working under tight timeframes. S/he is also a motivated, self-starter with a keen interest in and aptitude for learning the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiation: The ideal candidate will be required to negotiate complex and multi-faceted agreements for a variety of different types of digital content, from Ring back tones to VOD streaming services.

Client Partner Relationship: Ensure Customer Satisfaction is high in the region, driving the CSAT target for the entire region by engaging with the client and ensuring highest levels of service from all products of VAS industry.

IPR & Legal agreement: Responsibility of Content IPR's checking and validation of content and ensuring all rights of content in license and distribution.

Content management & Programming: Responsible for Content Programing and productizing the content based product for Teleco and OTT

Process Compliance: Ensure all processes related to Content management, Payment to partners and etc are adhered to in the region.

Account Management: Build Content Account Management & Solution selling in the region.

Internal stakeholder management: Work collaboratively to drive efficiencies with internal teams of VAS industry (PU, Finance, Business/Sales team, Delivery organization etc) and create win-win situations while handling customer engagement on the ground.

Qualification:

- Any graduate, BE / B Tech is preferable and an MBA in Marketing is preferable

Experience: 7-9 years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years- relevant experience in Digital content license and knowledge of Business operation &/or Digital Marketing in VAS in operator's domain.

Functional Skills:

- Knowledge of VAS and its Ecosystem, Networking and telecom domain.

- Experience in Account Management, Business Analytics, Content partner management and content licensing

- Experience in creating / understanding the Technical digital content requirements.

- Telecom knowledge desirable (Basic awareness for Network Elements).

- Go-getter and Entrepreneurial

- Knowledge of various contracts and understanding in detail

- Master in Excel
