Roles and Responsibilities:

- Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry.

- Knowledge about fertilizing, pruning, irrigation, spraying, ground maintenance, harvest, packing, storage, and logistics.

- Must have knowledge of all state and federal regulations for the product being produced.

- Build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry and Responsible for the quality control aspects of raw materials and finished products.

- Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.

- Assist in setting quality standards and ensure that production is maintained at such standards.

- Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases.

- Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels.

- Inspect crops/fields/plant stocks to assess conditions - need for cultivating, spraying, weeding or harvesting and confer with managers to evaluate conditions, develop plans or discuss changes in fertilizers, herbicides, or cultivating techniques.

- Communicate with vendors to ensure that the product arrives in a timely manner.

- Build and maintain long-term relationships with critical suppliers.

- Manage technological systems that track the shipment, inventory and supply of materials.

- Lead transformation activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly procurement reports.

- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.

- Keep abreast of changing industry trends and Implement growing and quality standards

Skills Requirements:

- Previous working experience as a Procurement and Quality Manager for Agriculture Industry (Specially Fruits and Vegetable).

- Knowledge of production, markets, and supply chain processes of agricultural commodities.

- In-depth knowledge of contracts and invoicing.

- Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

- Excellent negotiation skills

- Willing to approach agriculture holistically.
