WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH :
Consultants will be a part of the TIER 1 management consulting team and will work on-site with organizations, to help them move beyond recommendations and pilots - to achieve long-term improvement and measurable, bottom-line results. These consultants are involved from strategy through execution with a disciplined eye on impact and sustainability at every stage of the project life-cycle. They work closely with consulting firm clients, providing end-to-end support to ensure they are able to deliver and sustain the full benefits of Consulting Firm's recommended changes to their business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO :
You will transform clients' businesses, solving real-life complex problems.
- In this role, you will work in small teams with colleagues and clients to set-up and execute a best in class transformation office and related performance infrastructure.
- Delivering procurement advice to local authority clients during project delivery, including but not limited to: development of business cases, procurement strategy, evaluation criteria, tender documentation;
- Delivering technical work associated with project delivery, including but not limited to: development of service specifications, method statements, pricing schedules, evaluation of bids;
- You will build the strategies, capabilities, systems and processes needed to deliver bottom-line results and ensure these results are sustained.
- You will collaborate directly with client leaders and front-line operators on topics where implementation issues are important and where driving change is critical to the successful realization of goals.
- You will be present during the diagnostic and recommendation phase of projects, working alongside clients through execution and capability building, to ensure quick ramp-ups, on-time delivery, and sustainable change, staying on-site for as long as is needed.
- You'll help build the client organization's leadership, implementation and functional capabilities to achieve long-term results working with people at every level of a client's organization, ensuring seamless transformation, both during an active project and afterwards.
Qualification: -
- Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
- 3-5 years of purchasing experience for a large organization in an operating/line, change management or continuous improvement role preferred
- Functional depth in lean, operations, maintenance and/or procurement preferred
- Demonstrated track record of client capability building and sustained impact
- Experience with traditional IT solutions and integrated business planning, web-based solutions
- Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
