We are looking for an Advisor/Consultant to work with TIER 1 Management Consulting firm working in areas of steel manufacturing like SMS, RMHS, DRI, and Power Plant to help their client for better manpower utilization.

KEY PERFORMACE AREA :

- Timely conduct and completion of various productivity and efficiency studies (TPS, Time & Motion study etc) Projects to optimize Plant / Equipment capacity across all Plants

- Optimize utilization of resources manpower, machines, material, space and energy

Planning and Strategic Support :

- Plan and define the annual targets for cost savings and resource optimization.

- Plan and commission efficiency and productivity studies across all the Plants covering all resources, processes and systems (e.g. TPS, Time / Motion Study).Conduct benchmarking studies with respect to Plant layout of competitors and other manufacturing units.

Manpower Optimization :

- Review weekly reports from all Plants on manpower usage and manpower cost (Labour MIS) vis-a-vis the time and performance standards defined, identify wastages and problem areas and work with Plant IE team to take corrective action.

- Participate in discussion on the Long term Settlement (LTS) with the workmen union to finalize on the expected productivity from workers and cost repeat.

Machine and Material Optimization :

- Drive optimum capacity utilization with existing capacity through special projects.

- Recommend ways and methods to improve worker efficiency on the machines.

- Review material handling and storing process and identify areas of wastage.

- Drive value stream mapping to identify bottlenecks in processes and workflows and reorganize the same to increase efficiency.
