Modelin Consultant/ Senior Consultant

Position - Consultant / Senior Consultant

- This candidate is expected to work on data science projects for Infrastructure Advisory team . The work will involve understanding client's business and challenges, working with a team of consultants to build innovative solutions.

- The ideal candidate must have previous experience in modeling, with exceptional mathematics (including statistics and/or operations research), programming, and analysis skills.

The successful candidate will have hands on experience in at least one of the below :

- Optimization (Operations Research) - Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP) etc.

- Econometric Modeling, Forecasting and time series modeling

- Knowledge of machine learning will be a big plus.

- Prior experience working with the Indian Power Sectors will be preferred. Although for a candidate with strong quantitative skills, this will not be a filter criteria.

The successful candidate will :

- Design data science and analytics based solutions for industry challenges

- Interact closely with clients

- Develop and execute models, conduct rigorous analysis, and publish results in written reports and presentations

- Communicate with a range of stakeholders, e.g., ministries, utilities, regulators and private firms

- Willing to travel to client location as needed

Qualifications :

- Master's degree in Mathematics / Econometrics / Analytics / Operations Research / Industrial Engineering

- Demonstrated experience solving numerical scientific or engineering problems in a repeatable and/or extensible manner using programming languages such as or similar to Python, Matlab, R, GAMS or Julia shall be preferred

- Previously experience working at or with a system operator, utility, regulator or other industry organizations shall be preferred

Client Management : Must have led multiple delivery engagements end to end. Must have led multiple simultaneous projects.

Team Management : Must have led teams of at least 5 members.

Business Development : Must have helped in business development, proposal development

- Either Under Graduation or Post Graduation should be from Tier 1 college.

Preferred Colleges : ISI, IGIDR, IITs, NITs
