Consultant/Senior Consultant - MiFID II - Global Markets - Big4

This is regarding job opportunity with one of big 4 for the position of MIFID II- Global Market.

Roles & Responsibilities -

- Gather business requirements detailing current (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) requirements for tactical and strategic solutions.

- Assists Business Units in developing tactical & strategic solutions, services &/or programs to support the business goals with regards to regulatory obligation pertaining to compliance with Trading Venue rules.

- To understand and enhance the controls within Front office for compliance with the regulatory obligations.

- Work with the key stakeholders (business, compliance, risk and GM IT) to ensure all requirements surrounding the end to end process are clearly understood and appropriate, clear solutions are designed, documented and implemented.

- Own body of work, escalate issues to the key Stakeholders / Project Manager and where necessary, the appropriate governance structure of the program.

- Awareness of Project Life Cycle / Software Development Life Cycle and Business Analyst tools (business requirement documents, functional specification documents, data matrix, Work Flow Diagram etc.).

- Comfortable writing/reviewing the necessary documentation pertaining to projects eg. PID, BRD, FSD, UAT Test scripts/cases.

- Prepares project governance routine reports (weekly project update, monthly status update, highlighting risks, resource utilization etc.). Analyzes trends & recommends adjustments address &/or capitalize on trends.

- Formal Project closure, handover and lessons learnt Stakeholder Engagement: Ensure timely program reviews with stakeholders. Build good relationships with stakeholders & conduct stakeholder surveys to obtain feedback. Review feedback and design plan of action.

Eligibility Criteria:

Functional Skill

- Experience in Regional (especially EMEA / AeJ) Capital Markets across asset class.

Product knowledge: EQ (Cash & Deriv), Listed Derivatives, FI Cash (Bonds, Repo), Credit Derivatives, FX (Cash & Deriv),

- Knowledge of pre/post trade activity/flow, good knowledge of trade booking practices across different asset classes will be a plus point

- Good analytical ability - ability to cut through fluff/ symptoms and get to the core of the issue, determine data needs to be able to get the whole picture.

- Awareness for key Global / Regional regulations and the impact of these regulations to business

- Previous work experience on key regulations (example Dodd Frank, EMIR, BASEL III, etc.) is added advantage.
