Who is an ideal candidate :

- B.Tech/M.Tech, with experience in the field of alumina refining. Recently retired candidate.( Vedanta criteria is not mandatory for this position)

JOB PURPOSE :

The job involves the entire monitoring of the refinery production which is from the conversion of bauxite to alumina according to the production target approved in the business plan. It also involves coordination with other departments and confirming with the cost of production.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Key Performance Indicators :

Production planning : Planning for production according to the targets set under business plan. Division of yearly target to month wise production target.

Synchronization : Synchronization with other departments such as maintenance, commercial so as to be on target without getting the production delayed.

Cost of production : Planning to minimize the cost of production without affecting the volume, implementation of cost control measures.

Safety and Environment : Ensuring safety in the workplace for all the stakeholders. Ensuring emissions in the refinery is in line with environment strictures.

Training and development : Ensuring training and development of subordinates, identification and nurturing talent pool.

Quality improvement : Initiating improvement projects and guiding the employees for the enhancement of production as a whole.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

Functional Skills :

- Ability to control and monitor the entire refinery production and the production efficiency.

- Ability to train and develop subordinates for skill up gradation and improvement in performance of the individual and the department as a whole.

- Ability to manage the cross functional coordination. Conflict management skills.

- Ability to manage the relationships with the external vendors.
