A supply chain consultant specializes in performing research and analysis to develop strategies for optimal services. Typically working in the manufacturing industry, their responsibilities revolve around monitoring the inventory and supply flow of materials, liaising with vendors and suppliers, coordinating with different departments to gather necessary data, identifying strengths and weaknesses in the operations, and suggesting actions on areas needing improvement. Furthermore, as a supply chain consultant, it is essential to create and recommend business plans, all while adhering to the company's policies and regulations.
The supply chain consultant will assist the project specifically with demand management and forecasting, inventory control and replenishment management, transportation, warehousing and distribution, and logistics management information systems (LMIS). We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Experience:
- Experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Customer Service, Transportation, Product Life Cycle Management
- Manage production and warehouse teams ensuring DOD policies and corporate rules and regulations compliance while exceeding government nuclear facility audit standards.
- Experience with small and large-scale transformations
- Understand the current process in Supply Chain and relate it to existing technologies
- Experience in documenting the current state future state process documentations Writing functional design specifications for the technical team for technical design
Responsibilities:
- To drive cost reduction initiative across supply chain planning
- To design supply chain strategy and implementation of the same.
- Network strategy design and Implementation
- Supply chain Planning and Transformation
- Consult clients on efficient use of their ERP and SCM methods to effectively plan all the resources in the business enterprise.
- Create metrics to communicate areas of opportunity and improvement in obsolete/excess material, invoice discrepancy reconciliation and document change implementation.
- Collaborate with development engineering, procurement, commodity management, and global manufacturing teams in launching new server enterprise platforms worldwid
Quantification:-
- Bachelor's/Master's degree with post-graduate qualifications directly related to supplying chain management
- Experience managing complex situations and issues at the regional, national, or international levels
- Experience working in resource-constrained environments
