Fund Raising Consultant Investment relations

Job Purpose:

Looking for a self-driven person to support the partners end to end during the fund-raising process with a passion to deep dive, research, build relationships, preparing proposals, reports and other investment relations tasks. The role will continue to grow this fund-raising career ladder and will not have a scope to move into investments. Has the scope to eventually front end along with Partners on the fund-raising process over a period of time

Responsibilities:

- Conduct extensive research on fundraising opportunities & potential sponsors supporting the partners and internal stakeholders who front end the fund raising activity

- Connect with VCs and potential investors/Donors in India.

- Build strong relationships with the Indian VC ecosystem and operate with sell side mindset supporting the partners, maintaining cordial and healthy relationships with LPs, Investors, institutions, HNIs etc.

- Engage with potential startups coached within various Business Accelerator Ecosystems to understand and fine-tune their financing needs (amount, timing, use of proceeds).

- Work with the founders/CEOs of startups to prepare and rehearse their pitch (to investors).

- Review and comment the fundraising pitches and business plans prepared by the start-ups.

- Writing, submitting, and uploading press releases as required.

- Writing funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors.

- Preparing quarterly budgets.

- Negotiate fundraising term-sheets and financial agreements.

- Coming up with ingenious ways to raise awareness.

- Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.

- Organize and co-ordinate fundraisings in a variety of formats (e.g., face to face meetings, events, introductions) for the selected startups.

- Organizing and attending events and networking with relevant stakeholders.

- Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and media

- Maintaining records/MIS of above activities

Qualification & Experience:

- MBA in Finance and Marketing

- Total of 2-5 Years of experience supporting fundraising position in VCs, performing the role of an investment relations or relationship manager in well known banks or wealth management companies VC experience is an add on

- Good experience in Wealth management (in large banks)

- Experience in Sales would be an added advantage (Esp on sell side)

- Strong financial skills, especially on business plan preparation and fine-tuning

- Experience in financial analysis and start-up valuation

- Experience using tools used in the venture capital industry (databases, etc.)

- Prior experience in negotiating financial term-sheets
