Consultant - Financial Modeler

Job Description : A Strategy & financial modelling expert role on a contractual basis renewable every 2 years, with excellent compensation benefits, for a global leader in the solar industry. Flexible working from home catering to the APAC market and reporting directly to the regional office in Hong Kong.

Client Details : A global leader in the manufacturing of Solar modules spread across four continents and catering to over 100 countries

Description :

1. Building, developing and running financial models for Solar PV and Energy Storage projects

2. Evaluating RFPs to populate required and relevant assumptions and structure into the financial model used for bidding process

3. Collating and coordinating inputs from various teams including Development, Project Financing, Finance (Accounting and Tax), EPC and others as required for the purposes of populating assumptions and structure

in the financial model

4. Supporting Development, EPC and Financing teams in running case runs and scenarios to seek optimal

economic benefits and analyze key drivers

5. Assisting model auditors with model audit process as and when required

6. Assisting lenders with model during project finance process as and when required

7. Complete ownership of financial model; supporting the bidding team on all matters related to financial modelling

8. Maintain and update financial models pre and post financial close

9. Prepare presentation related to the financial analysis

10. Training and supervision of incoming junior modeler

11. Other tasks assigned by senior executives of the company

Profile:

1. A business, finance or accounting degree from a reputed institution

2. Greater than 3 years of experience in building, developing and running project finance based financial models

3. Ability to develop, run and take complete ownership of project finance based financial models

independently

4. Hands-on execution capability with can-do attitude and strong passion for financial modeling

5. Ability to work in a team environment and engage in cross-functional collaboration

6. Bachelor and preferably an MBA from a Tier 1 Institute
