Consultant - Digital Economy
A Regional Inclusive Digital Economy Activity Team Leader is required to lead the design of a regional platform to support the development of a thriving and inclusive digital economy in Southeast Asia.
The Team Leader will be responsible for:
- Leading collaboration with regional bodies, the private sector, citizens, and governments to develop, advocate for, and implement policies that promote open, inclusive, and secure digital ecosystems
- Improving the digital policy environment at a regional level
- Augmenting the quality and quantity of shared and interoperable regional digital infrastructure
- Strengthening ecosystems to foster collaboration and lateral learning across countries with a focus on supporting new and creative digital business models to bridge the digital divide
- Improving the safety, availability, and suitability of e-commerce services for consumers and MSMEs
- Lead and direct the core team to support the delivery of program outcomes
- Ensure delivery of results and value for money
- Share learnings and identify synergies across countries
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential requirements:
- It will be essential for the candidate to have experience working with Financial and ICT regulators and associations in the areas of regulatory reform and/or international development
- It will be essential for the candidate to have experience working in the region
- Understanding of Logframe / Theory of Change and alignment with activities and outcomes of the program up to the overall objectives of economic reform and poverty reduction
- 10-15 years relevant experience working with Financial and ICT regulators and associations in the areas of regulatory reform and/or international development
- Academic background in socio-economic studies and/or development cooperation and/or development finance would be an asset
- Experience in development and implementation of strategic and action plans for policy and/or project support in development and transition economies
- Experience leading multidisciplinary and international project teams
- Experience working in the region
This job is based in Singapore, but the client is happy to consider candidates who can work virtually from another location and can travel to Singapore, once the travel restrictions are lifted
