Job Description - Opportunity to be a part of a niche Apps Development team and provide big data solutions to large US based clients across different industries. The role will also give you the opportunity to work on Agile methodologies and proactively manage people.

Client Details

Our client is one of the largest US-based analytics consulting firms providing solutions to clients across different industries including banking, insurance, telecom, retail, and healthcare. They are looking to hire a Big Data consultant for their Apps Development team.

Description

As a Big Data consultant, your main responsibilities will be to:

- Work as an integral part of business analytics teams in India alongside clients and consultants in the U.S.

- Build Solutions and Platforms on Big Data distributions like Cloudera, Hortonworks including High availability, Information Security to process petabytes of data

- Structure the approach and deliverable for multiple analytics engagements simultaneously

- Work with agile environments methodologies like DevOps etc.

- Manage team members proactively

- Help assess the impact of work and conduct so-what analysis

- Manage communication and project delivery between India and US teams

Profile

As a successful candidate, you should have:

- Tech/MBA from Tier 1 Institute with 5-8 years of relevant experience in big data space

- Experience in building Solutions and Platforms on Big Data distributions like Cloudera, Hortonworks including High availability, Information Security to process petabytes of data.

- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem components like MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, Oozie etc.,

- Deep understanding of Hadoop ingestion and streaming methodologies like Sqoop, Flume, Kafka, Storm etc.,

- Experience with NoSQL databases like HBase, Cassandra, Impala etc.,

- Prior experience of having worked in consulting/product development environment

- Ability to engage in senior-level technology discussions.

- Should have worked in agile environments and good to have exposure to DevOps.

- Hadoop certification( preferred)

- Exposure to advanced analytics methodologies such as Regression (Linear, Logistic, etc.), Cluster
