The position in discussion is with the Deal Advisory team at BIG4 Global Services (BIG4), which is FBIG4's global delivery center and is an integral part of the firm's strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability, globally.

BIG4 Deal Advisory Group is a team of over 800 professionals based in Gurugram and Bengaluru.

M&A and Valuation Services team within BIG4 Deal Advisory is a 90+ member team and supports BIG4 Valuation, M&A, and Capital Advisory (CAG) teams globally across engagement / deal lifecycle.

Roles and responsibilities :

Working as a Consultant in this team, your responsibilities will include:
 
- Independently prepare/update valuation models and report for Capital Equipment (Property, Plant & Equipment)

- Analyze Fixed Asset Register (FAR- s) to identify information gaps

- Assist project lead in finalizing information request lists and question list

- Set up the fully integrated valuation models and prepare majority sections of valuation reports based on client FAR and inputs provided by the engagement team

- Reviewing third party valuation/management reports for reasonableness

- Performing market research to estimate replacement costs,useful lives and depreciation techniques for different types of machinery and equipment

- Staying updated on current business, economic and regulatory developments relevant to our clients

- Review the work of/guide team members

- Build strong professional relationship with onshore teams through project work

Essential skills required :

Education / professional qualifications :

- MBA / CFA / CA / MRICS (Specialization in Finance & Investment Management)

Prior Experience :

- Relevant experience of 2.5 to 5 years in either a Big 4, or similar analytical/ deal experience,real estate/tangible asset valuation firm;

Technical skills :

- Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (income, market and cost approaches)

- Command over accounting and financial statements analysis

- Strong business writing skills

- Knowledge of relevant respective local GAAP or IFRS standards

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (specifically, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint)

- Command in using research databases like MVS, ASA, LBS and Eurostat

Enabling skills :

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Personal drive and positive attitude to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations

- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team and guide juniors whenever required

- Ability to multi-task and handle pressure situations
