Consultant Actuarial IFRS 17 (16758) Job Description : Consultant - Actuarial IFRS - 17 Band : B2 - We were established in 1997 in Bangalore to provide comprehensive range of outsourced back office transactions processing and high value add (such as Equity Analytics, Investment Management, Data Science & Digital Analytics and Actuarial) for the Group Companies. We currently employ over 3,600 people to provide support to the 40+ companies in Europe, North America, Asia, Australia, New Zealand & Japan. - The Actuarial practice plays a critical role and is our likely key growth area for the coming years. - The team is involved in variety of activities around technical pricing, market pricing, reserving or valuation, experience analysis, shareholder reporting, financial projections and other new technical initiatives - all of this undertaken in close collaboration with the various clients that we support. - The team serves several entities across the world and is currently engaged in working with entities from North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Mediterranean and in the Middle-East region in the Property and Casualty, Life and Healthcare insurance products. THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES : - Supporting partner Entity (a Life Insurance company) in Implementation of IFRS 17 reporting guidelines and subsequently providing BAU support in various geographies, in particular, continental Europe or Asian countries. - Producing and validating IFRS 17 cash flows for Life business - Valuation of Liabilities (for different type of life insurance products) as per local regulations (GAAP, Non GAAP, Solvency II or IFRS17). - Assisting partner entities on IFRS-17 reporting in particular and other various regulatory reports, shareholder's reports, in general. - Assumption Governance on various IFRS-17 guidelines. - Effective management of Actuarial data for various reporting purposes, mainly IFRS-17. - Collaborating with other work streams and Business entities involved in IFRS 17 Project. - Recommending changes, upgrades and implementing the agreed changes in the valuation and/or reporting process. - Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming them into a solution framework - Training junior resources of IFRS-17 reporting and managing 2-3 membered energetic and young actuarial team. - Proactively participate in innovation, automation and improvements initiatives - Supporting GOBO leadership in strategy development and implementation. REQUIRED QUALIFICATION : - Graduate/ Post Graduate in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, B. Tech, B. Com, or Finance. - Should have passed 8+ actuarial exams. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED : - 6 to 9 years of actuarial experience in life insurance domain - 2 to 3 years of hands on experience in IFRS-17 projects - Knowledge of any life actuarial software (preferably Prophet) Advanced MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, VBA coding. - Knowledge of Life insurance products in overseas market would be preferred. - Experience in Liability projections, Shareholder Reporting or regulatory reporting preferred. - Ability to work independently on any actuarial software. This would include (Model Validation/ Replication/ Enhancement/ making changes in the existing model as per the required specification). SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED : - Good communication skills - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with stakeholders & auditors independently. - Highly organized, structured & proactive. - Ability to adopt inter-cultural skills. - Autonomous ; ability to deliver independently or with limited supervision/ support. - Good time management skills ; meet tight timelines and manage ad-hoc deliverables, if any. - Quick learner and good team player.
