Budgeting & forecasting - Responsible for the financial planning & analysis and close interaction with the accounting team to guide them on the methodology of recording accounting data as required for Budgeting / MIS purposes. - Responsible for the annual budgeting exercise (split into quarters and months) based on inputs from the stakeholders ; Vet and validate the underlying assumptions based on past and present data available - Monitor actual performance against the set budgets - Coordinate with all the stakeholders to identify the reasons for the variation between the budgeted and actual performance - Analyze &amp; report the exceptions to the management MIS &amp; Analytics - Run the monthly MIS meetings and Coordinate with &amp; collate data from the respective stakeholders to ensure that the monthly MIS is collated and presented on time - Track the budgets, cash flows and P&amp;L on a monthly basis - Review the MIS and identify variances / exceptions for management reporting - Prepare Management Dashboards on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis presenting useful insights and analysis to the management to aid in better decision making Coordination with the Accounting Team Members and Other Departments : - Review the Cost Centres and Cost Codes in Accounting and align them as per the Budgeting &amp; MIS requirements. - Guide and Mentor the data entry accounting team members in entering data under the cost centres and cost codes to get the desired output reports. - Extract data from Tally Accounting Package on periodic basis, review and analyze the data and provide corrective measures as may be required to the accounting team. - Work with the accounting team in understanding various accounting processes and documenting them for records and training purposes. - Inter-departmental coordination required for accounting, MIS, Budgeting and Accounting Processes
