Compliance Officer - LLB/CS - Conglomerate (5-8 yrs)

An excellent opportunity for compliance officers to lead and administer the company's compliance function

Our client is a part of a diversified business enterprise with an estimated turnover of USD 5.2 billion. They rank amongst the Top 10 Indian Business Houses. The company's business ventures span across sectors including Insurance Distribution, Real Estate,Manufacturing, Consulting, Training and BPO services.

The company was set up in 1995 and has a strong foundation of highly experienced professionals, quality systems, tested procedures and business philosophies. They undertake planning and execution of projects for the group and its ancillaries which involves the setup of Greenfield projects, Business Process Re-engineering, Change Management and Product Development etc.

As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible to oversee compliance with IRDA norms.

What you will do:

- Developing and maintaining regulatory policies and procedures under the Compliance Program

- Conducting review mechanisms to ensure its continuous effectiveness

- Assessing business processes and making proactive recommendations to mitigate compliance risk

- Supporting with settlement claims

- Proposing, initiating, maintaining, and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance

Department and its related activities

- Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk and recommending appropriate corrective and/or mitigating actions

Candidate Profile:

- Law graduates preferred (CS is desirable not mandatory)

- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience preferred

- Experience with IRDA compliance, IRDA audits, IRDA coordination preferred

- Should have front ended the audit (handled at least 2 audits)

- Experience in General Insurance (ideally in a broking firm, else GIC) is a great plus

- Strong logical, problem solving and decision-making abilities

- Excellent communication skills
