Compliance Manager - Investment & Technology Development Firm (6-9 yrs)

The firm is looking for a manager to join its Legal & Compliance team in Hyderabad, India. This role involves working closely with attorneys and compliance professionals to help ensure that the firms business activities are conducted in strict accordance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities will include leading the group out of the Hyderabad office, preparing regulatory filings, supervising review of compliance monitoring reports, and ensuring adherence to compliance policies.

WHAT YOULL DO DAY-TO-DAY:

The candidate will oversee all processes and deliverables for which Compliance Hyderabad is responsible, while ensuring that these are handled in a timely and accurate fashion. This involves working closely with the heads of different functions within Compliance (such as Core Compliance, Trade Compliance, and Control Room) to discuss the implementation of policies and procedures for underlying processes and assist with systemic risk and other regulatory filings on a quarterly basis. The candidate will also ensure adherence to policies and procedures (such as the firms Code of Ethics policies), and drive and oversee technology projects to build controls, streamline workflows, and improve process efficiency. Additionally, the candidate would also be responsible for effectively mentoring team members to drive performance, set goals, and manage their career development, while maintaining control over resource allocation and budget requirements. The individual in this role will also be required to represent the group during meetings with senior management and in various discussions, activities, and initiatives pertaining to the firms financial operations.

WHO WERE LOOKNG FOR:

The ideal candidate should have:

- Overall experience of four to seven years with past managerial and project management experience

- A masters degree or higher

- Proficient analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Keen attention to detail and a robust work ethic

- An understanding of securities regulations and financial instruments
