Compliance Analyst - BFSI

CrossTower is a digital asset exchange based in USA built by securities exchange experts, structured product regulators and high frequency traders. CrossTower is expanding globally and will offer a fully regulated digital assets trading platform with low latency, high scalability, and resilience. The founding team at CrossTower has an average of 25 years of experience in building equity, options, and crypto exchanges along with strong regulatory and legal expertise in developing structured products and blockchain technology.

Crosstower is looking for a highly motivated individual with previous experience in the Crypto, Fintech, or Financial Services industry to join our fast-growing team as a Compliance Analyst. This role will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and will be responsible for day to day operations of the BSA/AML compliance program including managing AML/CFT alerts, performing enhanced due diligence, analyzing data and much more.

What You'll Do:

- Analyze user, transaction and market exchange data to identify fraud, suspicious activity and/or operational risk.

- Translate compliance requirements into functional business specifications and provide appropriate guidance to the Product, Technology and Marketing teams.

- Perform ongoing testing and monitoring of the exchange system to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements and compliance best practices.

- Lead by example in order to cultivate a culture of compliance across Crosstower and ensure ongoing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

- Maintain and update BSA/AML compliance policies and procedures to ensure consistency with and relevance to current business operations.

- Perform enhanced due diligence on consumer and institutional accounts to identify high risk customers.

- Research and interpret regulations relevant to the virtual currency industry including: BSA/AML, State Money Transmitters, Broker/Dealer and alternative trading system requirements.

- Development, management and execution of AML/CTF transaction monitoring program.

- Develop policies and procedures for AML/CTF transaction monitoring life cycle (scenario validation, segmentation, and optimization tools).

- Provide operational support for digital asset trading business, with an emphasis on optimizing reconciliation and post-trade settlement procedures.

- Provide timely response to counterparty inquiries and requests for settlement information.

- Assist in onboarding and oversight of service providers/partners pursuant to CrossTower's Vendor Management Policy.

What You'll Bring:

- 3+ years of relevant compliance, controls, or operational risk experience with a specific focus on financial services, fintech or virtual currency.

- Strong interest in virtual currency or blockchain (prior experience preferred but not required).

- Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF) transaction monitoring program experience preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Great work ethic, willingness to learn and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, transparent and collaborative working environment.

- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks and projects autonomously.

- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

- Innovative and strategic thinker with the ability to identify creative solutions to compliance challenges.

- Strong investigative and analytical skills and significant experience with Excel (macros, formulas and pivot tables) and other Microsoft Office applications.
