Communications Business Partner - Conglomerate (15-16 yrs)
The company is a BSE listed conglomerate with multiple divisions into lifesciences. Looking for candidates only from manufacturing sector.
POSITION PURPOSE:
- The Communications Business Partner Corporate advises the business organization in all strategic and conceptual aspects of issues in communications in South Asia (India, Bangladesh, Nepal & Sri Lanka)
- He/she is responsible for integrated, holistic topic management and drives the corporate reputation with regards to all relevant target groups
- He/she acts as a strategic issues communications expert and as the single key interface to the business organization
- He/she is the subject matter expert and spokesperson and is responsible for issue and crisis communication across all businesses
- He/she is responsible for driving the PR agency
- He/she reports directly to the Head of Communications & PAS in the country/country group
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides comprehensive advice to the organization on all aspects of issues/crisis communications and assists in setting strategic direction.
- Develops local communication strategies and concepts (including those for CSR communications) based on business requirements and global communication strategy
- Manages topics holistically and develops integrated communication plans, content and activities for all relevant target groups and channels
- Translates Corporate business topics into messages relevant to target audiences
- Manages issues & crisis in coordination with Communications Business Partners of respective functions
- Facilitates thought leadership to manage overall reputation of the business
- Acts as a spokesperson to media and other stakeholders on topics related to Corporate reputation, Issues & Crisis Communications and CSR
- Leads and drives the PR agency for optimum results
WHO YOU ARE:
- Education - A masters or equivalent in comms/PR/MBA. English language fluency in spoken and written, in addition to fluency in the local language(s) is a must
Skills/experiences :
- Minimum of 15 years of related professional experience in positions of responsibility in major corporations with an international scope
- Degree in Communications or related field highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong in relationship building with relevant external and internal stakeholder groups
- Expertise in translating business goals into impactful strategies and their implementation
- A comprehensive understanding of traditional/digital media and significant experience determining the appropriate media mix
- Ability to influence stakeholders
- High level of agility and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Successfully embraces and drives change
