Commodity Trader Head - Cotton

- Work closely with the CEO on establishing a new trading desk for Cotton

- Actively drive PnL and capitalize on physical back to back trading opportunity on your desk

- Work closely with back office and operational staff to ensure smooth logistics/end to end supply chain of your trades

- Identify new product areas and geographical target markets to capitalize on trading opportunity and drive desk profitability

- Offer advice, support and assistance to colleagues where required, demonstrating the best of the company and its commitment to team work and family atmosphere

- Keep up to date with current market analysis and commentary to make informed trading decisions and manage risk

- Work with CEO on identifying budgetary frameworks and annual/quarterly PnL records, volumes, profit reports and risk reports for your desk/commodity asset class

- Negotiate and conclude trade transactions in your specialist commodity area, ensuring end to end/back to back trade flow is timely, accurate and profitable

- Ensure the internal team that you are working with are operating efficiently and ensure timely accounting and supply chain

Qualification And Experience :

1. DTT / BE Textile with 20+ years of experience in spinning Production/spinning mill management or Ccommodity Cotton arena across a physically traded product

2. Proven track record of profitability and self-managed trading portfolio with a physical back to back trading house

3. Established relationships in the market with the ability to trade from day one

4. Excellent network and contacts within the commodity trading space on both the supply and sales side

5. Ability to travel and meet with clients, stakeholders etc. where required

6. Excellent coaching/mentoring ability with a talent to combine both teamwork and independent working to achieve profitability targets

7. Exposure to trade flows - sourcing/ trading commodities

8. Exposure to agriculture commodities trade flows & risk management

9. Strong cost management skills

10. Relationship building experience with clients, suppliers and third parties

11. Good communication and presentation skills

12. Quantitative strategic analysis and financial assessment knowledge
