CA is looking for a candidate to join as Head of the Lending business.

Responsibilities

The Head of Lending would be responsible for

- Building and setting up a lending business in the agri commodity space. The vehicle could either be an NBFC or a Fund or both

- Leveraging existing capital and relationships to build and scale up a stable, low risk and high quality book; building relationships and raising leverage from banks, NBFCs and other financial institutions

- Building strong systems and processes and risk controls across the book

Skillset

Ideal candidate should have

- 15-20 years experience in the credit space, with ideally 5-7 years in agri commodity lending

- Experience of setting up and running an NBFC

- Strong capability to manage risk with zero defaults

- Strong network and relationships with borrowers, agri commodity players across the value chain to build the right client base

- Ability and experience in handling difficult and hostile situations of operational, legal or financial nature

- Strong academic background and should have worked with high quality MNC/Indian companies

- Ideal candidate would bring a strong combination of a professional attitude and strong ethics, with an entrepreneurial mindset, and should have a high maturity to run a large platform and scale up the entire business. The candidate should have a sharp risk acumen, along with business building capability.

- While compensation for the right candidate is not a constraint, the ideal candidate should have long term orientation and look to creating substantial value through equity.
