CA is looking for candidate to join as Head of Grains & Pulses who will report into the Head of the business.

Responsibilities

As the Head of Grains and Pulses the candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of a large and growing Grains and Pulses business including

- Managing procurement from mandis across India and building a sales and distribution network to supply to processors and other market participants across the value chain throughout the country

- Running an investment book of INR 200-500cr of physical commodities every season, resulting into an annual turnover of INR 500-1000cr

- Driving profitability of the business in the best risk adjusted manner

- Identifying opportunities in the market including addition of new commodities to the portfolio, value addition through forward / backward integration in the value chain, etc

- Managing and expanding relationships in the value chain across the country

Skillset

Ideal candidate should have

- 8-10 years - experience with physical commodities in Grains & Pulses managing the entire supply chain - including procurement, sales, distribution, quality enhancement, processing etc.

- Strong relationships and network with the main sources and counterparties across the entire Grains and Pulses value chain across India

- Understanding of physical processing of Grains and Pulses

- Understanding of exports and exposure to international markets is an added advantage

- Strong academic background and should have worked with high quality MNC/Indian companies

- Proven Track record with a strong understanding of risk management
