- Conduct training for staff, partners, and clients as needed.
- Ensure accurate data entry and produce management reports to monitor risks and their financial impact.
- Demonstrate relevant technical expertise in the specific business line.
- Stay updated on industry knowledge through memberships and collaboration with external professional bodies.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of insurance and terminology across various lines of business.
- Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate information and solve problems.
- Exhibit sound decision-making abilities, considering the costs and benefits of different options.
- Communicate effectively with underwriters, brokers, and colleagues, both in person and over the phone.
- Pay close attention to detail and maintain accuracy in all tasks.
- Work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using Excel, Word, and company-specific systems for data analysis.
- Must have a solid understanding of commercial Property & Casualty coverage lines, particularly Professional and Specialty lines.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in insurance underwriting.
