JOB TITLE: Commercial Banking Counselor

DEPARTMENT: LOCAL COMMERCIAL BANK, BRANCH BANKING

POSITION’S IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR --: COMMERCIAL BANK HEAD, WEST

BASIC JOB PURPOSE

- The purpose of the job is to own & drive Local Commercial Bank revenues for a set of Relationship Managers by acquiring, retaining & deepening the business banking relationships using the Commercial Bank product suite.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities

- Deliver Fx, Trade Revenue and CA Balance Sheet goals as per plan

- To drive the Commercial Bank related priorities of the respective Relationship Managers’

- To drive business lending, trade and derivative product sales for branch customers

- Engage with the customer to ensure that the relationship is nurtured & deepened. Ensure that the product utilization is enhanced. Improve profitability per account.

- Engage on an ongoing basis with the RM & Acquisition Teams on selling strategies, identifying potential customers and converting leads

Secondary responsibilities

- Work closely with Product team in influencing the product launches /enhancements and support the product team in the roll out through process designs with strong controls

- Understand customer needs, explore and educate customer on relevant financial products customized to meet his business requirements.

- Training Sales teams on the Commercial Bank products

- Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhered to

1. Branch Relationship Managers:

- Sales Calls/ identify the opportunity in the RM’s book

2. Branch Managers & Cluster Heads

- Identify the opportunity in the branch book and agree on target implementation and monitoring on a regular basis

3. Treasury

- To understand market movement and recommend rates to be charged to customers

4. Product Team

- To understand and influence product changes, customer mailer’s etc

5. Customers (mostly CFO, Directors or senior managers in the organization)

- To deepen and strengthen the relationship with customer and to influence the customer to bank primarily through us
