Position Title: Sales Manager Reporting To: Director, Comic Con India Department: Sales Work Experienced Required: 2-3 Years Industry Experience. DELHI NCR Candidates Only. Purpose : The Sales Manager is responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads & converting them. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, prospect lists and individual research. A dynamic personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential. - To actively call & prospect new clients via e-mail and telephone, generating leads to promote and sell Comic Con India India Shows - Follow up on leads provided by marketing team and convert into sales - Qualify contacts from web registrations, promotions, events and other marketing and sales activities and conduct research to identify appropriate exhibitors within the target market - Accurately record all sales activities in the CRM tool - Manage the database professionally, accurately and responsibly in order to provide the best possible service to both internal and external customers - Develop strong relationships with exhibitors by understanding and responding to their needs - Report back on market research obtained - Meet and/or exceed individual sales targets - Any other duties requested by Senior Management. Organisation Environment: Comic Con India (CCI) was started with an inaugural show in February of 2011 in Delhi. The first ever Indian Comic Con as it was called then was hosted at the open-air craft bazaar, Dilli Haat, in the capital. Held over 2 days, it featured 25 exhibitors and attracted close to 5000 visitors. Over the years since - Comic Con India expanded to 5 cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad & Pune. And attracted over 1,50,000 visitors cumulatively with over 1000 exhibitors at our shows (2015 Figures). From inception, we have steadily expanded the scope of our events by involving the various industries that can help expand popular culture. We plan to continue reaching many more communities of dedicated fans as well as bringing our unique events to many more cities in India. We provide a platform for brands to not only be part of our mission to expand popular culture, but to also engage with passionate fans across the country. Reed Exhibitions India is the organizer of market leading B2B and B2C shows across India covering high growth industry verticals such as logistics, packaging, manufacturing, fire and safety, retail, FMCG and pop culture Key Result Area : Tasks/Accountabilities : - Establishing & Maintaining databases from leads on the internet, via magazines, competitor trade guides etc - Entering and updating client information in the CRM - Maintaining a - clean- database through regular checking of client information - Ensure all client notes are accurate and timely - Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects Key Performance Indicators : - Accurate databases - Minimal errors on systems - Easy to follow excel spreadsheet - Sound knowledge of computer system - New companies added regularly Sales : Key Result Area : Tasks/Accountabilities : - Contacting lapsed customers and re-establishing them as an existing customer - Utilising the leads gained in the Prospecting activities to convert these into customers - Taking inbound enquiries and converting these to signed customers - Utilise and be proficient in customer contact, prospecting and booking tools - Increase awareness of the show and the benefits of attending other relevant shows Key Performance Indicators : - For each Show, individual sales targets are meet and/or exceed by the targets - Accurate reports and effective client contact - Minimal errors and regularly updated information - Moving companies up the pipeline and effective conversion/closing rates - Securing lapsed exhibitors Customer Service - Follow up & Satisfaction : Key Result Area : Tasks/Accountabilities : - Maintain and develop new customers to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction - Communicate, liaise and negotiate in a professional and ethical manner - Actively engage in providing customer service to retain clients once a sale is achieved Key Performance Indicators : - Maintained Retention - Positive customer survey results - Positive external and internal customer feedback - Positive customer survey results, sales objectives reached Experience : - 2-3 years- experience in a sales environment - A proven track record in presales/sales related activities or in market research - Experience of maintaining a database system - Exhibition industry experience (desirable) Technical Skills and Knowledge : - Bilingual - English and Hindi - Prospecting, lead generation - Ability to close sales - Excellent client service skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Computer skills in particular Excel - Ability to clearly articulate information to customers - Ability to stay focused and be productive within tight timeframes - Effective time management skills Behavioural Skills and Competencies Communication - Tailors the tone, message and approach to engage the audience - Is honest in their communications with others - Selects the most appropriate channel to communicate with others Motivation and drive : - Is driven and enthusiastic, which encourages commitment from others - Responds positively to problems and uses them as an opportunity to do things differently or better Planning and organizing : - Structures work to achieve best outputs - Anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks, taking responsibility for prior commitments Delivering results and continuous improvement : - Is flexible and able to revise the plan when needed - Analyses issues or set- backs without bias, and is open about mistakes to encourage learning Meets targets and deadlines : Customer focus : - Communicates clearly and concisely with customers - Builds effective customer relations with internal (e.g. show teams) and external customers Other Requirements : As part of this role you are required to travel to any exhibition or conference as directed by the company.
