Driving inventory planning process & controlling including procurement, manufacturing (3P), inventory control, distribution and logistics of products Success Indicators 1. Manage sourcing and contracting for raw-materials/finished goods 2. Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and transportation costs 3. Monitor inventory levels of outside warehouses and coordinate replenishment schedules 4. Ensure proper production control planning and scheduling of all intermediate and finished goods 5. Develop and manage processes to ensure critical MIS for stock planning & movement 6. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships 7. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms Activities - - Generate replenishment capacity plans with the outlook of 6-12-18 months - Work through inventory control - Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders - Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements - Making up lost sales opportunity and costly delays because of inventory shortages or missing SKUs as per the requirement - Managing Warehousing & Distribution function to ensure availability of products to fulfill orders from both the central and zonal, warehouses in accordance with ideal Distribution Practices Qualifications - Graduate /Post Graduate in Material Management/Operations Essential responsibilities executed (Generic Description) 1. Experience in Managing company owned Distribution Center as well as 3PL 2. Experience in managing a network of Outbound Freight carriers Desirable responsibilities (Generic Description) 1. Knowledge of CFA/Import / Inbound Logistics (experience in handling freight carriers) 2. Self directed with exceptional communication and presentation skills 3. Commercial awareness and business acumen 4. Independent and resourceful with versatility and adaptability 5.
