About your new role!!
- Liaising on a daily basis with clients and the media
- Monitoring the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites, and blogs, for opportunities for clients
- Preparing regular client reports and attending client meetings
- Strategizing the Quarter plans/Monthly reports for all the above accounts
- Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
- Promoting news stories and features to the media
- Collating, analysing and evaluating media coverage
- Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
- Managing the PR aspect of a possible crisis situation
- Building and maintaining an effective client-agency relationship
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (obviously).
- A social media ninja (and if you like all things lifestyle & education, great!)
- Good knowledge of contemporary media and its operations.
- Good working knowledge of broad economic trends and news.
- Good influencing, negotiating and conflict management skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Brownie points if you have great contacts within the education and news industry.
- Self-motivated with a sense of creativity and capability to bring up the brand value.
