We are looking for a candidate who can provide strategic guidance, consultation, and support to the management on a comprehensive range of legal and associated issues involved in carrying out the mission of the firm.

About your Job responsibilities :

- Provides legal counsel and guidance to the management and other upper management on all legal matters including personnel law, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

- Anticipates and identifies legal issues and counsels officers of the firm and other upper management in order to develop legal strategies and solutions, often in situations of great political, public relations, or financial risk or significance, and with limited time for assessing alternatives.

- Manage the Company Secretarial function and the corporate governance affairs of the company, including implementing corporate governance standards, maintaining legal records, driving key CSR initiatives

- Reviews, researches, interprets and prepares both written and oral opinions on a wide variety of legal issues.

- Drafts, reviews, and approves policies and procedures, regulations, bylaws, and other legal documents.

- Reviews contracts, leases, and other legal documents; research legal issues and recommends revisions as necessary.

- Manage litigation and investigations and instruct external law firms as required.

- Represents or oversees the representation of the institution and upper management in judicial and administrative proceedings, and in negotiations with other state agencies.

- Develops and manages annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.

- Selects and retains outside counsel, as required, to obtain legal opinions or to handle claims and litigation.

- Implement and manage a strong compliance program with year over year improvements in effectiveness through innovative use of technology to ensure all business units are operating in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and ensure appropriate awareness and training of associates.

- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a large corporate or centralized institutional legal office.

- Ability to analyze and interpret issues and to prepare legal opinions.

- In-depth and up to date knowledge of laws relevant to business operations in India

- Strong process management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet firm deadlines

- Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management.

- Ability to provide competent legal advice and counsel to the management on a wide range of legal and policy issues.

- Knowledge of the judicial system and procedures along with Contract law.

- Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government.

- Knowledge of legal documentation procedures and requirements.

- Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

- Knowledge of current and developing legal issues and trends in area of expertise.

- Good understanding of laws relating to anti-corruption, anti-financial crimes, work health and safety, data protection, privacy, consumer law and intellectual property protections

- Knowledge and understanding of institutional policies and procedures and the regulatory environment within which they operate.

- Ability to develop and implement legal strategies and solutions.

- Knowledge of financial/business analysis techniques.

- Ability to develop and implement legal strategies and solutions.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
