Cogoport - Head - Inside Sales (8-14 yrs)
Cogoport is developing world-class products to simplify international trade. For everyone. As the Inside Sales Head, you will be the owner of the pre-sales and inside sales functions at Cogoport. You will be responsible for P&L goals, and setting up standard processes that can scale across geographies.
Responsibilities:-
- Be the owner of the lead and conversion funnels (e.g. - MQLs, SQLs, transacting customers). Ensure that the team is meeting targets related to these metrics
- Run experiments to boost the productivity and output of the pre-sales and sales teams, resulting in a larger transacting base
- Recruit and hire high performing presales, sales, support and training teams. Have some past experience of leading 50-100 member teams
- Develop standard processes that can be replicated to scale in new markets, and across product areas
- Evaluate and oversee a tech stack to support the Presales and Sales functions
- Spend some time touching base with high-value clients, and close important deals
- Monitor metrics and help the team constantly improve by understanding their individual and collective performance
- Work closely with sales and marketing leadership to drive the success of outbound programs
- Ensure proper staffing and contingency plans are in place to ensure consistent performance through normal business, seasonality and new product/offer introduction peaks
Requirements:-
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience working and succeeding within target-driven business/sales development/ presales representative teams for providers of software solutions
- Minimum of 4 years of team management experience
- Past experience of handling large inside sales/ telesales teams comprising of 50-100 people
- Ability to motivate and lead a team to meet personal and team monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding business development goals and targets
- Proven track record of building and maturing BDR/SDR outbound teams in the technology sector
- Willingness to work outside the strict job description parameters, thinking creatively to boost transaction numbers
- Experience in working with CRM systems, and implementing the same at scale so as to automate processes and boost productivity
- Experience with conflict resolution and matrix relationships
- Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Excellent organization, multitasking, and prioritization skills
- Exceptional poise, maturity, and judgement
