About Corporate Security

The Corporate Security organization is responsible for the oversight and coordination of security efforts across the company, including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management and other groups, and is responsible for identifying security initiatives and standards. Corporate Security drives security compliance and serves as the key organization responsible with helping the business appropriately manage security risks.

Position Description

Cognizant requires an Associate Director to expand and manage the Governance Risk and compliance Program. The Associate Director, Global Corporate Security will provide strategic guidance, and operational management to the organization's security team. Candidates will have a proven ability to infuse innovation and creativity into strategic planning with a focus on programs that provide exceptional customer service. The Individual will execute on programs, drive enhancements and strategic initiatives, and track projects.

- Contribute to Corporate Security thought leadership in the Governance, Risk and Compliance space

- Serves as a leader of the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) program across Cognizant

- Act as the champion for achievement of GRC capabilities

- Leads the development and implementation of GRC Tool for Cognizant Corporate Security

- Develop, implement, and manage policies specific to GRC capabilities

- Sustains and improves the GRC program through discussion and collaborations with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) or other relevant functions

- Understand and assist in achieving service objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs)

- Serve as a subject matter expert for governance and compliance frameworks and regulations

- Identify and monitor non- compliance and escalate when appropriate

- Improve the content, quality, and timing of governance, risk and compliance analysis and reporting.

- Manage Security awareness and training activities to ensure all associates understand, acknowledge and ultimately fulfill their responsibilities as defined in Cognizant Acceptable Use

Qualifications

- The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field

- 14+ Years of experience with a thorough understanding of Information Security Principles and practices

- Proficiency and experience managing a dynamic controls framework based on COSO, COBIT, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations and legislation

- Proficiency and experience using GRC Tools

- An executive presence with exceptional communication and relationship building skills; effective at building trust and the ability to deal direct with every level of company management

- Ability to create professional presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

- Project management skills with an ability to achieve results

- Strong intellect with a balance of strategic thinking and analytical skills

- Be familiar with current good security practices gleaned from sources such as ISO and NIST plus applicable laws and regulations

- Be a people's person delivering information security awareness, ideally with experience of developing the creative materials used
