Cognizant - General Manager/Assistant Director - COO Risk & Finance (10-15 yrs)

Work environment :
The COO Risk & Finance department delivers Risk & Finance related services to its stakeholders, i.e. Group Finance, country CFOs and Wholesale Banking, Risk, Tax and Bank Treasury. These services encompass operations and change initiatives for accounting, reporting, data foundation and business advice services, including system, process, data and information management, and analytics capabilities. By design, the services are reliable, secure and in control. Change is delivered in accordance with the Finance strategy and implementation and decommissioning roadmap.
The Tribe Statutory and Regulatory Reporting delivers and enables the organisation to provide on-time, high-quality, standardized financial reporting solutions, in compliance with external and internal regulations.

Required skills, knowledge & experience :
- University (Bachelors/Masters) degree in (business) economics or a comparable field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience as people manager
- Banking and finance knowledge
- Reporting (financial or regulatory) knowledge will be a plus
- Excellent Communication skills, written communication and power to convince.
- Strong client management skills
- Very strong team player : pro-active, ability to connect, positive mind-set, flexibility, focused on cooperation and sharing knowledge
Your activities will be in the area of :
- Part of governance with Product owners and scrum masters, work on actions as identified, to increase the efficiency of squad members
- Improve the Way of Working of the Chapter and the Area
- Coach the chapter members as needed
- Ensure difference practices/ departments are contributing at the optimum levels for common goals
- Ensures that Chapter members have appropriate competencies and skills by continuous improvement of their skills
- Responsible for the yearly appraisals of the Chapter members
- Drive innovations across offshore team members
- Recruiting new Chapter Members, in alignment with the onsite chapter leads
- Part of management team of Tribe leads, and drive the assigned themes across the tribe
- Align with onsite chapter leads on any applicable improvement area of the chapter members
- Participate and contribute on initiatives like squad recompositing, moving towards tech-based squads.
- Succession planning for the key resources
- Preparing knowledge dashboards and driving improvements on it
