Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis
Role: Individual will provide financial support as well as develop financial analysis for use in executive decision making related to Cognizant's Corporate Functions (i.e. Information Systems, Human Resources, Administration, Legal, Finance, and Corporate Marketing).
Position Location: Chennai, India
Reporting relationship: Open - Either to Head of Corporate Planning & Reporting Function or VP of FP&A.
Summary:
Specific Responsibilities:
- Direct the development of financial data and shape decision making associated with large scale capital Investments.
- Work with the COO and the Corporate Admin function to develop financial policies which encourage efficient use of Cognizant facilities.
- Manage the production of a comprehensive monthly and quarterly management package.
- Produce Ad Hoc Analyses at the request of the COO, President, and CFO.
- Work with the Information Systems team to assist the organization in making the most efficient investments in new technologies.
- Support company capacity planning process. Work with head of the admin function and Cognizant's COO and President to synthesize headcount demand with current office capacity and make decisions regarding future office space development.
- Provide financial support during negotiations related to software and hardware purchases, facility related purchases/leases, and investments in new geographies.
- Support and drive various corporate finance initiatives.
Key Skills Required:
- Keen analytical skills as evidenced by past experience developing complex financial models.
- Ability to effectively interact with senior business leaders and support executive decision making.
- Ability to lead and drive important corporate initiatives.
Desired Education/Experience:
- MBA or CA
- 15 years of work experience in the areas of business and/or financial analysis.
- Previous employment with a large multinational corporation
- Significant experience leading a team of finance professionals
- Experience supporting decision making related to investments in facilities
- Advanced knowledge of information technology function operation and ability to guide IT investment decisions.
