Job Description :
Objective :
- Responsible to ensure Primary transportation planning and execution from all manufacturing facilities to warehouses
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure timely transfer of stocks from manufacturing facilities to warehouses across the country
- Ensure transfers are within cost lines
- Coordinate with procurement in terms of vendor management and contracts
- Optimizing the fleet on mix of market and our fleet. Also optimizing the cost.
- Timely closure of contracts - with coordination with procurement, cluster/ zones.
- Also need to look at benchmarking of prices with other industries
- Find avenues on multi-model transportation
- Closely work with planning to ensure stock availability
Job Requirements :
Qualifications : Post Graduation in Supply Chain and Logistics
Experience : Multi location experience with logistics background - 3 to 4 years of experience in National roles with exposure to multi-model transportation
Functional Skills : Logistics understanding, Market studies, Ensuring productivity, Inter communication skills for interacting with Internal and external stakeholders
