Job Description: Objective: Lead Primary Logistics and Warehouse Procurement category for HCCB. The incumbent will drive category strategy, SRM strategy, cost savings & innovative solutions for this category & provide overall thrust and direction to the team to meet the objectives & needs of the business. Title: National Head - Logistics Procurement Function: Strategic Procurement Work Location: Bangalore Job Responsibilities: - Driving commodity strategy of Primary & Inbound Logistics , Warehousing, Export/Import operations with an estimated spend of ~ INR 600 Cr to transformational level in terms of Right Sourcing, Capability development and Automation. - Driving RFI, RFQs, Agreement management and Vendor life cycle management for Transportation (Road, Rail, Water), Warehousing, MHE, Pallets, ILS and other ancillary items - Drive Execution of distribution network for Inbound (4 Lacs Tons of RM/PM) & Outbound (30 Lacs tons) of long haul and 90 Lacs tons of short hauls. - Designing Supply chain of Distribution, Agreement preparation, RFX design, Negotiations and strategy deployment. - Proactively collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to lead contract negotiation with suppliers; develop negotiation approaches, fall-back positions and acceptable terms and conditions through contract completion and identify key benchmarks to measure contractual arrangements - Develop and maintain Long Range Plan integrated with Key category strategies to meet business objectives thru Supplier Relationship Management (e.g. best cost, quality, service, support, resilience) Ensure category strategy aligns with existing and future needs - Build a continuous improvement culture in Strategic Procurement to minimize COGS - Driving sourcing compliance with respect to Legal, Safety and Tax perspective - Driving change management in the company to leverage the innovative cost model every year - Driving Vendor management and Vendor development process. The incumbent will need to actively drive Supplier Relationship Management. - Develops team & talent with diverse capabilities in order to deliver objectives that are in line with requirements of the business. Supervises: Direct Reports: 2 Geographical Scope: India Reports To: AVP - Strategic Procurement (Logistics and Copack) Key Customers: Supply Chain, Strategic Procurement (RM, PM & Indirect), BSS Procurement Internal Customers: Supply Chain, Strategic Procurement (RM, PM & Indirect), BSS Procurement, Finance External Customers: Lead/interface with Sourcing Group teams at local, regional, International/Global level Job Requirements: Qualifications: Post Graduate qualification in General / Materials Management from a reputed institute / university. Experience: Minimum 13-15 years of relevant post qualification experience with at least 5-7 years at a middle/senior management level in the Procurement function in a similar industry(FMCG, Ecom), where he/she should have demonstrated strong commercial acumen. The incumbent should have handled logistics procurement of complex network in similar industry. It is desirable for the incumbent to also have experience of handling logistics operation.
