Title : Manager - Data Engineering Function : Business Shared Services - Analytics Work Location : Bangalore Job Description : Objective : - Role holder is expected to manage / execute different Data Engineering or/and Power BI Dashboarding projects cross-functionally. - Build and/or Optimize SQL queries to connect Analysis Models/Reports/Dashboards with back-end Data for data transformation and modelling. - Expertise in Data extraction, mining, and Slicing /Dicing techniques to highlight key opportunity areas and automate reports. - Ability to leverage macros or power pivots or any other tool (R, Python, KNIME, ALTRYX etc.) to operationalize data and analytics related work. - Working on cross-functional data coming from multiple sources using custom internal and industry standard tools like SAP, Sales Data, Nielsen Answers, Sales and Operations Planning, Logistics etc. - An expert in advanced excel and can leverage different excel functions, pivots, slicers and other utilities for analysis and data management to derive insights from data. - Creating intuitive and interactive executive summaries &amp; operational dashboards in PowerBI using the wireframes signed off by respective functions. - Very good interpersonal skills and can work seamlessly across various teams. Job Responsibilities: - Build and/or optimize SQL queries to connect Analysis or Analytics Models/Reports with back-end Data. - Maintain Data integrity of in-house Data Lake. - Managing Projects, from Requirement Gathering, Data Capture, Analysis Framework and data sourcing/streaming within the provided scope and timelines. - Collaborate with key stakeholders (functional and operational) to define KPIs based on analytical outputs and identify key Cost and Revenue Drivers and opportunities to improve operational performance. - Manipulate and analyze large datasets and derive insights. - Extensive use of databases like SQL and analytical tools like R, Python, SAS etc. is a plus - Develop intuitive visualization using Power BI. - Work with cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders effectively. - Work with vendors for data gathering, analysis outputs etc. - Mentor team members on data engineering projects - Help wider team to improve Data Engineering capability by replacing old ways of reporting or Data Reports To: National Manager Data Engineering &amp; Automation Key Customers: Internal Customers: IT, Corporate Business and functional teams in Sales, Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement External Customers: Vendors and Service providers, Direct and indirect customers Job Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelorâ€™s / Masterâ€™s degree in a relevant field including Engineering, Computer Science with extensive experience Experience: 4 to 7 years experience in Delivering and Managing Data Engineering, Analysis and Analytics projects.
