CMR University - Design Thinking Facilitator

Role Purpose:

The need for design thinking as a strategic tool for dealing with complex problems is growing. The role focuses on developing new ways of thinking in order to design better solutions, services and experiences that solve our current problems; Design Thinking steps in with a bold newly systematised and non-linear human-centred approach. He/she will help students radically change how they go about exploring problems and creating solutions to those problems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Introducing Design thinking, its purpose and its phases to the students.

- Build out curriculum for design thinking across the semesters

- Plan the schedule/ workload and student evaluation mechanism as per grading scale of the university

- Build a database for students to refer to, of hands-on case studies

- Encourage students on fostering a work culture of innovation at workplace by demonstrations and case studies

- Demonstrate and inculcate the culture of building plans and services design through research, product roadmapping, and innovating existing practices

- Give our students the methods and a toolbox they can use straightaway to empathise and find problems, turn problems into opportunities for solutions, prototype and experiment and create a roadmap for implementation.

- Prepare students to be able to creating scalable solutions through running successful MVP validation

Qualification & Professional Background:

- Top-line innovation management professionals, product specialists, designers, business and social entrepreneurs, product and marketing managers willing to transition into education industry with a passion to train students on design thinking

- Min 4-7 years of experience of having worked as a design thinker, user experience designers, service designers, innovation managers, trainers, facilitators, who bring a wealth of experience working with people and organisations of diverse industry, cultural, disciplinary, geographical and political backgrounds.

- Bachelors in any domain is mandatory

- MBA from B-School, or PG in management is expected or BE or B Tech with MBA from B-School, or PG in management is preferred

- Course on Design Thinking with a minimum work experience of 4-5 years post the completion of the course is preferred
