The Head-Retail Vendor Recruitment(RVR) will be responsible for leading the new vendor ecosystem across all categories for Cloudtail. This includes recruitment, launch and setting up new brands/vendors for success working with Cloudtail. With the help of a multi-layered, high performing RVR team. The incumbent will play the role of driving the right selection across categories for CT, Within this role the individual will have the opportunity to establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage program profitability, drive price competitiveness, and identify means to improve the customer experience, while expanding vendors and selection rapidly. We are seeking a seasoned business leader with a broad skill set which demonstrates analytical horsepower, excellent business judgment, strong vendor management and negotiations skills, deep curiosity to uncover how things work. Roles and Responsibilities : - The Head-RVR will be responsible for managing inputs, category financials, promotion management, auditing and analysis, vendor escalations and concise communications at scale for a large number of vendors - Dive Deep into inputs and understands the downstream impact of changes to pricing, selection, and convenience across categories - Own the selection charter across vendors; develops processes at scale to drive revenue and margin improvement through new brands - Leverage tools and automation for improved lead pipeline management and maintain profitability guardrails to ensure portfolio accretiveness - The Head-RVR will be responsible for growing selection, improving terms and cost structures, building long-term relationships with vendors across all new vendors - Focuses on new vendors and brands to increase selection - Create a framework for delivering top- and bottom-line growth for vendors and brands launched - Creates opportunities for growth, customer acquisition for multiple sub-categories - The Head-RVR is expected to demonstrate customer and category knowledge, be an advocate for a quality customer experience, and understand the competition and industry - The Head-RVR is responsible for long term growth opportunities and risk identification, planning, communication and partnering with internal teams - The Head-RVR is expected to demonstrate a deep understanding of Retail tools and become advocates for tool enhancements - The Head-RVR is responsible for attracting talent and making the right hiring decision, setting goals and resource planning for the team - Create mechanisms to help onboard new talent to organization by continuously building network of talent inside and outside of company. - Effectively coach and give feedback to direct reports to help develop talent and support career development - Set and balance goals across team to optimize performance against department goals and employee development Education : MBA Experience : Relevant: - 8-12 years of experience doing one of several roles: sales, key account management, business development, retail buying, retail planning &amp; allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce. - 4+ years of team handling experience - Proficiency in Excel, Proven analytical skills and highly numerate - Proven Negotiation Skills - Proven experience leading teams &amp; cross-functional projects - Influencing abilities and vendor management experience - Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
