Job Summary:
The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting & Compliance is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and managing internal controls. This role involves collaborating with various departments to gather necessary financial data, preparing accurate financial statements, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Ind AS and other applicable laws.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting
- Support in developing and enforcing financial policies and procedures to ensure the company's financial health and stability.
- Support preparation of the financial forecast, annual budget and ensure accurate and timely information is provided to the stakeholders.
- Prepare variance analysis on a monthly basis and highlight key issues and unusual items and provide recommendation to remediate.
- Prepare and review all statutory and regulatory filling related to NBFC and RBI compliances.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor changes in regulations and standards, assessing their impact on the company and implementing necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and accounting standards
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any issues
- Identify and mitigate risks related to financial reporting and compliance.
- Leverage technology to streamline and enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and compliance processes.
Role Requirements:
- Educational qualification - CA
- A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements
- Good understanding of the financial sector and regulations
- Experience in the financial services sector / Retail industry (banks or NBFCs) would be preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial reporting software and tools.
- Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and make decisions
- Excellent Excel and computer skills
