Manager - SME Lending (Rooftop solar) - cKers Finance (pronounced seekers ) is looking for an SME credit specialist to set up a lending desk, that will cater to SMEs setting-up solar on their rooftops. - The ideal candidate is someone who is outcome oriented and looking to be part of a young finance institution that is beginning to make waves. About cKers Finance : - Launched in 2017, cKers Finance is an innovation led market-maker venture for debt financing of sustainable energy segments in India. - It is developing new instruments for project finance in decentralized renewable energy, creating standards for sustainable energy bonds and building data around new project risk metrics. - It is a PACESetter Awardee (instituted jointly by the Indian and US Governments) for driving Sustainable Energy Finance Innovation. - It has been supported by cKinetics, IIM Ahmedabad's Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, California Clean Energy Fund, Rockefeller Foundation, Infuse Ventures, amongst others. - cKers provides the entire range of debt solutions for Sustainable Energy companies in emerging segments. It provides: Project finance at a micro-scale, Construction finance, Asset finance, Working capital, Venture debt. - cKers is presently focused on the following segments: Industrial and urban: DRE and Energy Efficiency : - Rooftop solar : SME sector/ urban rooftops - Solar thermal applications - Energy Efficiency in industries and commercial settings DRE for rural energy access : - Community/ telecom loads oriented mini-grids - Pico and micro grids - Solar home lighting systems - Solar pumping - Solar micro cold chains Position deliverables : The role envisages the following : - Define the product and processes to enable lending to SMEs - Enter into and manage partnership and alliances - Driving the credit appraisal, decisions and disbursement - Manage field investigation and audit agencies - Monitoring the portfolio - Over time, building a team that expands this activity About you : 1. You are a proactive person and are looking to take on independent responsibility 2. You are good with numbers, have an analytical bent of mind and are curious by nature 3. You can work as an independent contributor with little/ no support 4. You are looking to join a young firm and believe in our mission (The mission of cKers Finance is to be an innovative market maker debt financing venture dedicated towards financing sustainable energy in India and catalysing the industry towards scale.) You must have : - An MBA/ CA with 7-10 years of experience - Done SME credit for a leading bank or NBFC for atleast 5 years - Hands-on and good inter-personal skills, with an outgoing attitude - Attention to detail and accuracy It would be nice if you had : - Sales, policy, collection and/or product experience as it relates to SME lending - Experience of working in any of the sustainable energy segments that cKers is targeting Base Location : New Delhi, India Willingness to travel on an adhoc basis to engage the market
