cKers Finance (pronounced - seekers- ) is looking for an original thinker with an experience in strategy and/ or making investments (debt or equity), in order to build out new market sustainable energy segments. The ideal candidate is someone who is creative, outcome oriented and looking to be part of a young finance institution that is beginning to make waves. About cKers Finance Launched in 2017, cKers Finance is an innovation led market-maker venture for debt financing of sustainable energy segments in India. It is developing new instruments for project finance in decentralized renewable energy, creating standards for sustainable energy bonds and building data around new project risk metrics. It is a PACESetter Awardee (instituted jointly by the Indian and US Governments) for driving Sustainable Energy Finance Innovation. It has been supported by cKinetics, IIM Ahmedabad's Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship, California Clean Energy Fund, Rockefeller Foundation, Infuse Ventures, amongst others. Position deliverables: The role envisages the following: - Mapping new market segments, keeping track of trends and identifying investible opportunities - Initiating and independently building relationships with key market players - Evaluating investment opportunities independently and defending the investment thesis with the credit committee - Over time, building a team that expands this activity About you: 1. You are a proactive and independent person and are looking to make debt investments 2. You are good with numbers, have an analytical bent of mind and are curious by nature 3. You can work as an independent contributor with little/ no support 4. You are looking to join a young firm and believe in our mission (The mission of cKers Finance is to be an innovative market maker debt financing venture dedicated towards financing sustainable energy in India and catalysing the industry towards scale.) You must have: - An MBA/ CA with 8+ years of experience - Experience in either a strategy consulting organization, investment bank or lending institution - Recommended/ made investments (debt or equity) in the past - Ability to build financial models from scratch - Good inter-personal skills and an outgoing attitude - Engaged senior-level industry professionals - Attention to detail and accuracy It would be nice if you had: - Experience of working in any of the sustainable energy segments that cKers is targeting Location: Base: New Delhi, India Willingness to travel on an adhoc basis to engage the market
