Role Outline/Job Summary : The Global Research Center (GRC) of Citi Research in Mumbai is a full research office working with Equities Research, Equity Quant Research and Strategy, Economics Research, Commodities Research, and Rates Research. It also handles various critical functions such as Research Distribution, Global Data Services, Modeling and Risk Management. The Associate / Analyst group in Mumbai GRC is segregated into sector Pods covering Financials, TMT, Energy / Utilities, Consumer & HealthCare, Industrials, Metals & Mining, Quants and Economics. Responsibilities : The role will focus on the coverage of Property Developers and REITs in Australia; primarily involved in database management, commercial and financial analysis of company performance, financial modelling, and valuations. As you grow into the role and reach the desired level of understanding / expertise of the investment theses / sector knowledge, you will have a chance to write equity research on companies / wider industry themes, and based on available opportunities, meet company management and engage with clients. Given the size of the coverage, you will be a very active member of the team and have plenty of scope to demonstrate your skills and capabilities. - Creation and maintenance of excel models for industry sub-sectors and companies under coverage - Tracking of sector news and non-covered companies as well as analysis of periodic statistical data - Writing commentaries on market developments and sharing with the audience through internal emails, quick posts, morning mails and publications - Background analysis as a part of active research on a company / theme - Assisting with data gathering, analysis and visualization of data for premium-tagged products and other periodicals - Executing large / global client requests using internal and external databases, often to tight deadlines - Assistance in initiation of coverage on new stocks and project deal reports - Preparation of marketing presentations for lead analysts - Support in developing new products Qualifications : - 3-5 years of equity research experience or similar - Previous experience working on REITs, Property Developers stocks or Commercial Real Estate Agency is preferred - MBA, CA or CFA preferred - Good knowledge of accounting and modelling - Good data management/analysis skills with high degree of comfort with Bloomberg, Excel, Word and PowerPoint - Excellent inter-personal and writing skills - Ability to work under time constraints, handling multiple priorities, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment The candidate should be a pragmatic "self-starter", who can work independently if the analyst is traveling or as part of a team Education: - CA (preferably from Big Four Accounting Firms) - MBA from a premier academic institution Other: Required to start work by 8am India time
