Regional Sales Manager - Karnataka

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Driving the Territory Sales Revenue Targets

- Sales & Distribution : Identifies Distributor, helps build their organization and responsible for capability building

- Supervision & implementation of on ground marketing programmes for assigned territory (which includes trade activation) and lead sales execution across the territory (distribution, in-store availability, activation & merchandising implementation)

- Identify on-ground business issues: Monitor & audit daily business Issues & provide market/sales feedback and complete all necessary reports within the stipulated time frame

- Identify opportunities: maximising business relationships & tapping market information by gathering competitors- info (promotions, launches, organization changes, etc.) and regularly update the sales force teams

- Monitor & track Trade Budgets

- Advising on: realistic forecasts for each product and territory (based on historical data, market trends, competitive activity, promotional strategy and sales effort, realistic costs of operating the sales force and sales promotion programme plans

- Responsible for obtaining business results through region wise planning & execution of company strategies, effective people management and team capability building

- Target achievement through planning & execution of sales promotion activities at retailer points with in the assigned territory.

- Channel Management - Develop strong working relationship with OTC distributors, manage distributors for achievement of sales priorities for the region

- Responsible for coordination with the Regional Expert Sales Manager and other key stake holders in the business in the assigned area.

- Responsible for the planning, recruitment, direction, organisation and management of Territory Sales Incharges to accomplish specific objectives.

- Coaching and mentoring of TSI to enable them to carry out their roles & responsibilities in an effective manager

- Responsible for monitoring the performance of the team by establishing a system of reports and communications such as sales reports & activity trackers

- Timely appraisal of team and timely feedback to TSIs regarding their performance, developmental plan for personal and career growth, feedback to ZSM and Sales Head about the performance of each TSI direct report

- Talent Management with in the region, finding out right talent for right role & nurture talent.

Desired Profile :

- Candidate from FMCG/OTC Industry with actual working experience of 4+years in chemists Retailing and/or OTC stockists.

- Exposure to following channels (Atleast 2): GT (Chemists), Rx (Pharma stockists), EM (Detailing), SS (Super stockists), Wholesale

- Well connected with FMCG OTC distributors and OTC field force.

- Experience required of whole or part of the Karnataka typically Bangalore

- Experience as ASM or equivalent role for 1+ years/At least 2 +years experience in relevant geography (Current role preferably - ASM in FMCG/OTC)- ASMs/Metro Managers/Sr. SOs)

- Should have managed teams

- MBA preferred

Culture Fitment :

- Should be fast learner - quick when it comes to execution on field - Fire in the belly attitude

- Should be accustomed to working in start-up setup - Roll up sleeves and be on the ground where action is needed, guide teams as and when needed, walk the talk - Demonstrate to teams while on field

- Willing to take up challenging tasks

- Any candidate who has been promoted frequently in span on 1-2 years in Managerial role would be preferred (exceptional rating in past 2 year)

Other Skill Set :

- Good written & oral communication skills

- Computer literacy is a must - Excellent on MS Office

- Ability to analyse & interpret data and make presentations

- People Manager skills

- Problem Solving & Forecasting skills

- Strategy Execution
