CIO for a Fintech Startup (Blockchain)

Looking for an experienced CIO to plan, deploy and oversee the Technology Strategy of the company.

Will be the one to ensure that all people, partners, and systems necessary to support the product and operations are in place.

Expected to have a solid IT background and consistently keep up-to-date with advancements in the field.

Apart from your education and experience, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong business acumen.

Although, you have several years of experience in a large corporation, and probably some in an entrepreneurial venture, you are still willing to roll up your sleeves and dive in with the founders to start all over again, looking for long term value creation than instant monetary gratification!

Responsibilities

- Set objectives and technology strategies for the company

- Select and implement suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits

- Design and customize technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience

- Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT professionals and other staff within the organization

- Approve purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT providers

- Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance

- Direct and organize IT-related projects

- Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage

- Analyze the costs, value, and risks of technology and product strategy, and leverage the organization to implement actions based on the analysis

- Develop a team of technology professionals to support the strategy of the company

- Participate in the management of the company as a senior executive

Requirements

- Proven experience as CIO or similar managerial role. Exposure to financial services, retail distribution, development finance, and emerging technologies such as; Block Chain, Big Data, Mobile, Social Media, IOT, AI etc would be an added advantage

- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure

- Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation

- Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations

- A strong strategic and business mindset

- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
